The Senate consists of:
a) the Rector;
b) the Deans;
c) the Heads of the Departments up to two per School, with a non-renewable two-year term of office, by alternating Schools until all Departments of each School have been represented. The Rector shall decide on the Head representation by decision, which shall be issued once;
d) one representative of undergraduate students, one representative of postgraduate students and one representative of doctoral students, if applicable, who shall be elected for one year and are not eligible for re-election;
e) one representative of each staff category, as provided in articles 28 and 29, for two years and not eligible for re-election, who shall be elected from a single ballot by universal suffrage of the members of the relevant staff category and participate, with voting rights, when the discussion topics are related to matters concerning that specific staff category.
The exact composition of the Senate and the number of members with voting rights, as well as the requirements and each topic related to the application of the above, are provided in our Institution’s Organization and Internal Operating Regulations.
The Senate meetings are attended, without voting rights, by the Vice Rectors and the University’s Secretary.
