The aim of the Undergraduate Studies Programme of the Department of Psychology is to provide students with an integrated and high quality education in the field of psychology, with emphasis on basic and specialized areas, such as Educational, School, Cognitive, Developmental, Social, Political, Organizational, Clinical and Counseling Psychology, as well as Neuropsychology.
Furthermore, the Undergraduate Studies Programme provides students with theoretical and applied knowledge of the modern science of psychology and gives them the opportunity to acquire a solid background of skills and abilities. This will help them both to choose an area of specialization in psychology and to continue their studies in Postgraduate Programmes of either basic or applied research in psychology.
The Department of Psychology was established in 2018 and admitted first-year students for the first time during the academic year 2019-2020, while, making use of the provisions of the Law 4559/2018, more than 800 students of the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology chose to enroll in the new Department.
Upon completion of their studies, graduates may pursue postgraduate studies or consider other career options.
